The restoration work on the Pantheon of the Marquises of La Torrecilla The project is making significant progress. This project includes the repair of the roofs and vaults, the restoration of the stained glass windows, as well as a thorough cleaning of the façade and walls. This work is aimed at preserving both the architectural integrity and the historical value of this emblematic monument, which is located in the Sacramental Cemetery of San Isidro de Madrid, and honour the memory of the Marquises de la Torrecilla.
Work is currently underway on the roof structure in order to improve its watertightness, replacing the slate with lead, as foreseen in the original project of the Marquis of Cubas. This involves dismantling the slate and the battens in order to subsequently install a new decking. In addition, the façade is being cleaned and the following has been dismantled the wall that covered the main glass window of the main altar, thus allowing light to illuminate the interior space.
