"The Hospital Tavera in Toledo and the Casa de Pilatos in Seville hosted various preparatory events prior to Pope Benedict XVI's visit to Madrid for the World Youth Days. Yesterday, the day of the Assumption of the Virgin, the courtyard of the Hospital Tavera was converted throughout the day into a penitential place where the pilgrims could go to confession and the Church was transformed into a huge sacristy where they were clothed and from where the four hundred priests and ten bishops went in procession to the Bisagra Gate to concelebrate in four languages the "sending mass" with His Excellency the Archbishop of Toledo, which was heard by more than 20,000 young people. Last week, the Casa de Pilatos in Seville hosted various activities for the many pilgrims of different nationalities welcomed by the Brotherhood of San Esteban and on Friday 12th August a Way of the Cross (the third this year) departed from there to the Collegiate Church of the Divine Saviour with the Cross of Evangelisation, in which the pilgrims welcomed in the convents, parishes and brotherhoods of the Archpriesthood of Sevilla Centro (Ukrainians and Koreans) took part. The Our Father was prayed in Spanish, Korean and Ukrainian. Moreover, on Friday 19 August, Our Father Jesus of Medinaceli participates, representing the fourth station, in the singular and monumental Stations of the Cross which, presided over by the Holy Father, will travel along the Paseo de Recoletos in Madrid".
