Restoration of the coffered ceiling of the main staircase of the Casa de Pilatos

As part of the project to restore the coffered ceilings of the Casa de Pilatos, the restoration of the alfarje that covers the central plateau of the sumptuous main staircase of the Casa de Pilatos in Seville was completed in July of this year. It has been a particularly complex intervention due to the richness of its polychromy and its delicate state of conservation. The richness of the polychromy and the quality of the design of the frieze decorated with grotesque motifs framing the arms of the Enríquez de Ribera family are particularly noteworthy.
