Yesterday, 21 October, in the primitive cloakroom of the Pilate's Houseused as stables in the 19th century, was one of the concerts in the Autumn Baroque cycle, organised by the Association of Friends of the Seville Baroque Orchestra, with the support of the Instituto de la Cultura y las Artes de Sevilla.
On this occasion, the talented Malaga pianist Antonio Simón offered a masterful interpretation of the work of Franz Lisztranging from the delicate and youthful The bells of Genevato the haunting and sombre Grey clouds.
Recognised as one of the most versatile keyboardists of his generation, Simon is noted for his mastery of multiple keyboard instruments such as piano, fortepiano, harpsichord and clavichord. In this concert, he demonstrated a deep connection with the piano, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The Casa de Pilatos, with its imposing historical atmosphere, provided the ideal setting for a romantic programme which further enhanced the emotionality of the Austro-Hungarian composer's music.
