Intangible heritage
The House of Medinaceli and its aggregates have historically been linked to numerous cultural manifestations and traditions, some of which - all of them of a religious nature, like most of the intangible heritage listed by Unesco - have come down to us with a living component and a community character. Inseparable, more often than not, from the buildings around which they were born, they give them and the communities that continue to live them as their own, an intangible dimension that the Foundation consequently seeks to protect wherever they exist and to recover wherever it is possible to do so.
