Bust of a male portrait from the Hadrianic period.

Roman workshop
2nd century AD

Sculpture carved in white marble of different types on the head and bust. It is a copy of an original from 100 BC made at the end of the reign of the emperor Hadrian (2nd century AD). Although the head is from the Hadrianic period and the bust is modern, in this case, the two pieces are very well integrated. Of the two pieces, the older one, the head, is the one with the greatest losses and conservation problems. The bust, however, is well preserved, with only slight cracks in some of the folds of the clothing.
