On Wednesday 13 December, José Redondo gave a lecture on El Greco on the occasion of the seven hundredth anniversary of the death of Mr. de Orgaz. The City Council of Toledo has organised during this week a series of "mini-visits" and conferences on the figure of the artist and his work in Toledo.
The Hospital de Tavera was one of the places where El Greco carried out his work. José Redondo gave a magnificent overview of the important project that El Greco had to carry out at the hospital. This review made clear the importance of the figure of El Greco and the strong link he had with the Hospital de Tavera, where we can currently enjoy some of his most important paintings and his exceptional sculpture.
